Threadless Submission!

My illustration class was given an assignment to submit a design for threadless t shirts. There is no specific theme other than total creative freedom. My submission was painted with acrylics, and is comprised of various moth and insect parts. It forms the shape of a skull, the moths represent night, darkness and the nocturnal and also represent death in some cases, so the skull image they form is symbolic. A couple new pieces..

I added a painting I finished last semester along with a pen drawing I also completed. One is a painting of humming birds drinking wine from wine glasses. The glasses are arranged like flowers sprouting from a stem. The other was a project in which I made my own Ghana coffin, I made it into something like a conceptual self portrait. The lighting in both photos is bad, I will update with better quality photos. Take a look!

NHIA Interior Design

So!...While browsing my school's website I noticed my art is being advertised on the page dedicated to the Interior Design program at the school (The title of this post is the link to the page. ). My interior paintings are also in this year's catalog for new students and those who wish to see what classes are offered here.

I'm in the process of painting some new landscapes and I will post some new art as soon as I can...it's a matter of taking the photos,uploading, posting, editing...I have a job outside of this that keeps getting in the way so I am far behind in updating this. New work soon and I will also be editing the blog :D
